The Hunters team of home designers recently completed a kitchen project in the pretty Derbyshire village of Diseworth. When we sat down with the homeowners, they asked us to create a modern space with lots of character that included a mix of textures and colour. They wanted a room that was the heart of the home, practical and functional but also a pleasure to cook, eat and relax in.  

We felt that the Neptune Henley collection, with its combination of painted and exposed oak cabinetry, was the perfect choice for their desired design and they are delighted with the results. The contemporary worktop is a dark coloured hardwearing Dekton material that we chose to complement the Everhot oven and cooker hood, which we supplied as part of the overall design and build.  

We also added texture to the room with black bronze cabinetry hardware, warm herringbone flooring, marble splashback tiles, and Roman blind trim. The dining table and seating in front of the enclosed TV cabinet feature colours and textures that create a lovely, cohesive feel in the kitchen and dining area.

Our team also refreshed the utility area by extending the base cabinetry and concealing the heater. We incorporated the dark grey theme from the kitchen and kept the room feeling light and fresh by painting the wall cabinetry in Neptune’s neutral Snow.
